Job Description

Procesmanager Landelijk Gebied at Haskoning

As a Procesmanager Landelijk Gebied at Haskoning, you will play a crucial role in addressing the complex challenges facing rural areas, such as increased housing demands, agricultural transitions, climate adaptation, biodiversity enhancement, and energy transition. This involves redistributing and redesigning space over the coming decades, a transformation of unprecedented impact to which you will contribute significantly. You'll have the flexibility to choose projects that align with your expertise and will primarily operate in your local region, often witnessing your work come to fruition firsthand.

What You Do as a Procesmanager Landelijk Gebied

Your primary objective is to develop well-supported scenarios and visions for the future design of rural areas. Whether it's crafting a new future perspective for the Hegewarren in Friesland, managing the rural transition in Meierijstad municipality, or leading a regional approach in the province of Noord-Brabant, your contributions will bring these initiatives to life. You'll strive for a new balance between living, working, and recreation in rural areas, guiding challenges like innovative agricultural forms, climate measures, the heat transition, and maintaining accessibility in core areas. You provide tailored solutions, connecting ambitions and transitions to the unique elements of an environment, relevant laws and regulations, and the desires of diverse stakeholders.

Every assignment is distinct, making your work incredibly varied. You'll often oversee multiple projects and advisory requests. In some projects, the focus will be on process management, connecting parties and disciplines for efficient and effective processes. In others, it will be on project management, where you monitor progress and planning. Additionally, you'll engage in administrative consultancy, advising clients on strategies and anticipating political-administrative dynamics. Tendermanagement, where you help devise effective project approaches, is also part of your role.

You frequently tackle complex spatial puzzles within intricate stakeholder landscapes. Your ability to bring these pieces together to form effective solutions is highly valued. Collaboration is key; you'll work extensively with governments, water authorities, grid operators, businesses, residents, and advocacy groups. You'll also collaborate with colleagues specializing in various themes, from soil science to environmental law. This collective knowledge is Haskoning's strength, enabling us to build a pleasant and future-proof environment and offering you ample opportunities for professional development, network expansion, and staying abreast of the latest field developments.

Where You Will Work

You adapt easily to changing circumstances or solutions, making decisive choices when needed. Your strong communication skills enable you to build trust, fostering solutions agreeable to all. You excel at building and maintaining internal and external networks, ensuring you know where to gather crucial information. Keeping up-to-date with transitions in the Netherlands is also vital for anticipating project needs.

Furthermore, you possess:

  • A higher professional education (HBO) or university (WO) degree.
  • Experience with one or more disciplines within spatial development, such as urban planning, spatial planning, mobility, environment, geography, or landscape architecture.
  • A keen political-administrative antenna: you are aware of the ins and outs of political-administrative organizations and can empathize with the interests at play.
  • Knowledge of change management.
