Job Description

About the Role

Are you passionate about marinas, sailing and waterfront developments and would you like to work for one of the largest leading global maritime consultants, Haskoning? We have the perfect opportunity for you as we are looking to grow our team in the Marinas and Waterfronts Consultancy sector.

The Marina and Waterfronts consultancy sector is a growing and intriguing industry situated at the crossroads of engineering, urban planning and yachting, aimed at delivering integrated solutions for an optimal user experience and a feasible development.

What you will do as a Medior Consultant Marinas and Waterfronts

As a Medior Consultant Marinas and Waterfronts, you will contribute to the successful implementation of various high-level consultancy projects in the field of marinas and waterfronts. You will work closely with our team and other experts across Haskoning, combining your technical background with excellent soft skills to present ideas internally and externally. Your responsibilities will include coordinating parts of projects and ensuring the timely completion of subtasks. You will also assist project managers with their duties and, from time to time, liaise with clients or join client meetings. Projects will range from conceptual desktop studies, often conducted from our home offices in the Netherlands, to on-site field studies and direct client interactions.

You will play a role in growing our marina and waterfronts business both in the Netherlands and globally, actively building and expanding your and our network within the sector. Your support will be crucial in our mission to help clients develop sustainable marinas and waterfronts, with a strong emphasis on nature-based planning and design as a key element.

Examples of Our Work

  • Masterplanning a greenfield superyacht marina in the Black Sea or the Middle East
  • Developing a high-end marina and waterfront along the popular south coast of Spain
  • Designing a nature-based marina in Southeast Asia
  • Consultancy on recreational navigation networks and developments in the Netherlands
  • Conceptual design of marina layouts and spatial planning of the waterfront in South America, Europe, and the APAC region
  • Conducting yachting market assessments in the Middle East

Our clients and projects are located worldwide, spanning both the private and (semi)governmental sectors. We expect you to be capable and willing to travel abroad for projects when required by the client.
