Job Overview
The Research Associate role at Harvard Business School supports faculty members in various research methodologies including experimental design, data analysis, coding, IRB management, and both quantitative and qualitative research. This position is an immediate hire opportunity and reports directly to faculty supervisors and an administrative manager.
Primary Duties
- Collaborate on-site and build trust with colleagues.
- Develop expertise in new research methodologies.
- Manage and analyze data using tools such as STATA, Python, R, MATLAB, Qualtrics, and MTurk.
- Conduct statistical modeling and produce analysis for academic works.
- Independently manage timelines and multiple projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in economics, mathematics, quantitative sciences, or a business-related field with a GPA of 3.5+ is required. Candidates must have statistical/programming experience and for behavioral roles, familiarity with qualitative research methods is expected.
Additional skills include outstanding academic achievement, independent research experience, and proficiency in communication, analysis, and project management. An interest or experience with leveraging AI is also valued.
Additional Information
This is a term appointment starting Fall 2025 through June 30, 2026, with a preference for a two-year commitment. The role is hybrid, requiring on-site presence 3 days a week at the Boston, MA campus, with additional remote work options within approved states.
