Overview
As an Assistant Project Manager at Harris, you will support project management across all phases of HVAC construction. You will be responsible for maintaining project standards, budgets, deadlines, and effective communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage safety compliance and foster a culture of safety.
- Document Control - Review, organize, and distribute contract documents, drawings, specifications, schedules, RFIs, construction bulletins, and shop drawings.
- Assist in drafting, submitting and tracking RFIs and responses.
- Attend field coordination meetings and distribute meeting notes.
- Administer project quality control, progress drawings, as-builts, and closeout documentation.
- Support scope of work changes, track procurement and equipment rentals.
- Assist with estimating projects using estimating software and track labor productivity.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction, or a related field is preferred along with 2+ years of construction industry experience. A strong understanding of mechanical systems, ability to read construction documents, and solid interpersonal communication skills are essential.
