Your Impact as a Technical Consultant:

  • Gather requirements, design, and implement solutions using SmartWork’s application suite.
  • Integrate SmartWork’s application suite with various 3rd party software interfaces.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, standard operating procedures, and other necessary documentation.
  • Lead or assist in conducting training sessions with SmartWork’s customers and provide critical implementation support.
  • Act as a primary liaison between SmartWorks, customers, 3rd party vendors, and industry consultants.
  • Cultivate a deep knowledge of Smart Metering infrastructure and best practices for analyzing corresponding data.
  • Provide the Project Manager with consistent updates on progress, emerging issues, proposed resolutions, and successes.

What We're Looking For:

  • A college diploma or university degree in a related technical field, such as Electric or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • A strong grasp of SQL and proficiency with one or more Enterprise Database Software systems like SQL Server or Oracle.
  • Comfortable working proficiently in both Linux and Windows operating environments.
  • The ability to travel in North America up to 30% of the time, requiring a valid passport/visa.
  • Previous experience within the Utilities industry.

What Would Make You Stand Out:

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in software implementation.
  • Strong working knowledge of object-oriented design principles (C/C++ or Java).
  • Previous experience in training customers and producing high-quality technical documents.

What We Can Offer You:

  • 3 weeks of vacation and 5 personal days annually.
  • Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, effective from your first day of employment.
  • Employee stock ownership and RRSP/401k matching programs.
  • Lifestyle rewards.
  • Opportunities for remote work and more!
