About the Role

The Editorial Assistant Pavilion role at HarperCollins Publishers offers an opportunity to work within 4 Colour Publishing. As an Editorial Assistant, you will provide vital administrative and editorial support to the Publishing Director and Commissioning Editors. You will be working with a passionate team dedicated to illustrated non-fiction across food & drink, craft & lifestyle, gift & popular culture.

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain smooth division operations, managing schedules and minutes
  • Assist with desk editing and proofreading various content
  • Liaise with freelancers, authors, agents, and design teams
  • Research, organize permissions, and create marketing materials
  • Support editorial tasks including copywriting and metadata creation

Additional Opportunities

This role provides a chance to develop your editorial skills through creative briefs, editing, photoshoots, and eventually managing your own authors under supervision.

Person Specification

  • Organized with strong attention to detail
  • Passionate about non-fiction and lifestyle content
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
