Job Overview
The Systems Engineering team is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to own the definition and architecture of ADAS features for our commercial electric delivery trucks. In this role, you will define how the vehicle perceives the world and reacts to it. You will lead the systems engineering lifecycle from defining the customer use cases and sensor architecture to managing Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and vehicle level validation.
What You Will Do
- Define high-level requirements and use cases for core ADAS features for Harbinger vehicles such as AEB (Automatic Emergency Braking), ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control), VB (virtual Bumper) and BUC (back Up Camera).
- Develop logical and physical system architectures showing interactions between sensors, controllers and physical systems.
- Lead Functional Safety analysis and work product creation at the concept and system level for ADAS functions.
- Decompose vehicle-level requirements and the PDL into system, component and interface requirements using our requirement management tool, Flow Engineering.
- Define the DVP&R (Design Verification Plan) for ADAS features.
- Oversee testing from SIL to HIL and proving ground track testing.
- Analyze test data to fine tune sensitivity thresholds and calibrations to balance safety and false positive detection.
Who You Are
- Possess a Bachelor's degree or other relevant educational credential.
- 5+ years of experience in automotive ADAS systems engineering.
- Hands-on experience with ISO 26262 Functional Safety.
- Experience with Matlab/Simulink control logic.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to ADAS.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate within a dynamic team environment.
