DevOps Implementation Engineer Role

We are seeking a passionate DevOps Implementation Engineer to champion our systems, architecture, and DevOps culture. You will be instrumental in managing and maintaining large-scale systems and architecture for our multi-service platform, running on fully container-orchestrated environments. This role is key in shaping our exponentially growing company's architecture, focusing on a fast, agile, and automated DevOps philosophy to ensure a world-class user experience with minimal downtime.

What You'll Do Daily

• Build, manage, and maintain large-scale systems and architecture.
• Oversee container-orchestrated environments across multiple services/microservices.
• Shape the company's rapidly growing architecture.
• Implement a fast, agile, and automated DevOps philosophy.
• Ensure world-class user experience with minimal to zero downtime.
• Own and manage existing cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Implement automated deployment and scaling pipelines.
• Build a security-first architecture.
• Assist development teams with infrastructure needs and technical support.
• Be available for production issue resolution (Site Reliability).
• Perform root cause analysis for production errors.
• Research and implement new technologies for end-to-end system scaling.
• Create and maintain backlogs on JIRA.
• Implement security philosophies for robust system protection.
• Contribute to infrastructure cost optimization.
• Engage in knowledge sharing with the team.

Who We're Looking For

• Linux power-user with experience across multiple flavors (Ubuntu, Redhat, Fedora).
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure: AWS (EC2, RDS, Elasticache), GCP, Azure.
• Proficiency in building automation pipelines for deployment and scaling.
• Experience in implementing security-first architectures.
• Ability to support development teams with infrastructure and technical assistance.
• Readiness for 24x7 production support and issue resolution.
• Strong skills in root cause analysis for production errors.
• A knack for researching and implementing new technologies for system scaling.
• Experience with JIRA for backlog management.
• Expertise in scripting languages, particularly Python and/or Shell.
• Experience with configuration management at scale (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Sound knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Significant technical, automation, and programming experience across the enterprise SDLC.
• Comprehensive understanding of enterprise software development tools, methodologies, and architectures.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS, EKS, VPC, RDS, Route53).
• Familiarity with next-gen infrastructure & application monitoring and service discovery tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix, New Relic, Consul).
• Inquisitive nature and a self-starter capable of working with minimal guidance.
• Experience with high-traffic infrastructure deployment and maintenance (performance testing is a plus).
• Extensive hands-on experience with SQL databases; NoSQL is a plus.
