Senior Storage Administrator - Happiest Minds Technologies

We are seeking an experienced Senior Storage Administrator to join our team at Happiest Minds Technologies. This role involves the management and maintenance of our storage and backup infrastructure to ensure data integrity, availability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee storage and backup operations, including managing Isilon and NAS shares used by critical applications.
• Execute and maintain retention policies and snapshot schedules to ensure data recoverability.
• Monitor and respond to performance and capacity issues, including disk IO/latency and read/write time alerts flagged by monitoring tools like Dynatrace.
• Manage compute maintenance tasks, such as patching windows, VM/storage expansions, and general infrastructure RITMs (Request Item).
• Monitor daily backup jobs, replication tasks, and the overall health of the backup infrastructure.
• Remotely troubleshoot common backup failures, including job failures, storage capacity issues, network connectivity problems, and agent/plug-in errors.
• Perform routine operational tasks such as backup job configuration and scheduling, and handling restore requests for files, VMs, databases, and applications.
• Manage tape operations (if applicable) and update backup policies as needed.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and runbooks.
• Communicate incident updates effectively and ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Coordinate with onsite teams or vendors for any physical intervention or issues that cannot be resolved remotely.
