About Add Value Fund Management BV
Add Value Fund NV is a Dutch investment fund (AIFM) listed on Euronext Amsterdam with an exceptional track record and assets under management of approximately € 175 million (www.addvaluefund.nl). The fund's manager (Add Value Fund Management BV) has been the specialist in the Dutch Small & Cap segment since 2007 and has since expanded to stock exchanges outside the Netherlands. The current team, led by co-founder Hilco Wiersma, consists of 4 employees and is based in Amsterdam Zuid. Add Value Fund Management BV is part of Handelsbanken Nederland.
The Role
In this unique and versatile role, you will shape the distribution strategy of Add Value Fund within the Netherlands and, if promising, beyond. Additionally, you will be the primary point of contact for the fund for institutional investors, (U)HNWI's, and intermediaries (banks and asset managers). As a Business Development Manager – Asset Management, you will play a crucial role in achieving Add Value Fund's growth ambitions. You are a connector, a networker, and a subject matter expert who professionally represents the fund to investors, large and small.
With your experience and network, you know better than anyone how to gain trust, deepen relationships, and create new opportunities within the Dutch asset management sector. You have a passion for investing and can convincingly explain the fund's performance, strategy, and positioning. This role offers a high degree of responsibility, freedom, and visibility within a compact and high-quality team.
What you will do as Business Development Manager – Asset Management:
- Actively approach potential investors (institutional, family offices, asset managers, banks, and high-net-worth individuals) and independently expand the investor network.
- Maintain and deepen relationships with existing investors and intermediaries.
- Professionally represent Add Value Fund, including explaining performance, strategy, and market developments.
- Organize and host client events, seminars, presentations, and networking meetings.
- Increase the visibility of Add Value Fund within relevant market segments and networks.
- Collaborate with management on the annual business development and relationship management department plan.
- Identify market trends, competitor movements, and opportunities for further growth.
- Actively contribute to the further professionalization of commercial and communication processes.
- Represent Add Value Fund Management at events, meetings, and presentations.
The Team:
You will work at Add Value Fund Management B.V., a subsidiary of Handelsbanken Nederland (via Optimix Vermogensbeheer N.V.). The team consists of 4 people, with this new role being an expansion to the existing team. The culture is professional, entrepreneurial, and substantively strong. Because the team is small and close-knit, you will have a lot of responsibility and direct influence on the commercial success of the fund.

This describes you:
- Experience in business development, sales, or relationship management within asset management, investing, or private banking (approx. 7–10 years) is a prerequisite.
- Passion for investing and a strong affinity with (small and mid-cap) 'bottom-up' stock selection.
- Ability to engage in substantive discussions about performance, strategy, and market developments.
- You are strong communicatively, convincing, and presentable – both orally and in writing.
- You are commercially driven, proactive, and results-oriented.
- You easily make contact, build networks, and are comfortable in external representative roles.
- You work accurately and professionally, and understand the importance of integrity and transparency in the financial sector.
- You preferably have a completed university education in economics, business administration, or a STEM field.
