Overview
Hajoca Corporation, one of the country’s largest privately-held wholesale distributors of plumbing, heating & cooling, and industrial supplies, is seeking a Sales and Leadership Trainee for its All-Tex Pipe and Supply trade name at the Austin, TX location. Founded in 1858 on the principles of Service, Integrity, and Reliability, Hajoca invests in talented people and a unique business approach to succeed.
Program Details
The Sales & Leadership Development program is a multi-year rotational program designed to expose trainees to all aspects of the business including sales, operations management, and profit center management. The program emphasizes on-the-job training, coaching, vendor interactions, and online courses.
- Phase 1: Learn business operations such as receiving, shipping, and truck maintenance; attend vendor product knowledge sessions and online courses.
- Phase 2: Gain counter sales experience by assisting customers, processing sales orders, and maintaining display areas while working with various customer types.
- Phase 3: Work in sales involving pricing, margin management, product procurement, job scheduling, and joint sales calls.
- Phase 4: Engage in career discussions with the Profit Center Manager to define your career path within the company.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a college degree or equivalent experience, solid experience in customer service, sales, management, or leadership, and the ability to drive for company business. You should possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and be comfortable learning on the job in a dynamic environment. A valid driver's license and meeting the company’s driving record criteria are required.
