Job Overview: Receptionist and Administrative Assistant at Haileybury
Haileybury is currently seeking a dedicated Receptionist and Administrative Assistant to join our Brighton campus. This is a Part Time (0.4 FTE) Fixed Term position, requiring availability on Tuesdays and Fridays, which are not flexible due to operational needs.
Role Purpose
As an integral part of the campus administration team, the Receptionist and Administrative Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Main Reception. This position delivers high-quality administrative support and customer service to a wide range of stakeholders, including students, families, staff, visitors, and the broader school community. Serving as the primary point of contact, you will be responsible for managing enquiries and performing essential administrative tasks that contribute significantly to the effective daily operations of the campus.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage reception operations, including the distribution of incoming and outgoing mail and email.
- Provide efficient and professional responses to parents, staff, and student enquiries via email, phone, myHaileybury, and in person.
- Undertake student-related administrative tasks, including attendance support and detailed database management (including Yearbook data).
- Coordinate complex diary management and room bookings.
- Perform general administrative duties, including printing, laminating, data entry, stationery management, and providing support to the Health Centre.
- Assist with the preparation and delivery of campus events, suchs as termly Saturday morning school tours.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Head of Campus and Personal Assistant to the Head of Campus.

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in reception or administration with strong Microsoft Office skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
