Role Overview
As a Senior Network Engineer at Nightwing, you will perform network services from network design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of existing networks. You will analyze designs, specifications, and related documents, and perform general LAN/CAN/WAN administration. This role involves scheduling conversions and cutovers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide input to the design of the organization's network and mission architecture.
- Minimize network latency and maximize data throughput through design analysis and network performance monitoring tools.
- Configure and maintain the organization's network diagrams and accreditations.
- Design, integrate, test, and deploy solutions to established network issues.
- Optimize end-to-end system performance and dataflow management.
- Implement specific network solutions to support server requirements, including load balancing, VPNs, firewall contexts, Traffic Shaping Voice over IP (VoIP), IP Encryption, Media over IP (MoIP), and network address translation.
- Manage, develop work schedules, and direct the work of junior-level engineers.

Qualifications
- Twelve (12) years of relevant professional experience providing Network Engineering support is required.
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline is required.
- A Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security Systems Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university may substitute for two (2) years of experience.
- Five (5) additional years of relevant experience providing Network Engineering support may substitute for a Bachelor's degree.
