About the Archivist AI Model Trainer Role at Mercor

Mercor is actively recruiting Archivists to contribute to a critical research project for one of the world’s leading AI companies. This role leverages your professional archival experience to develop and design insightful questions, directly contributing to the training of advanced AI models.
Applicant Requirements
- Have 4+ years full-time work experience as an Archivist.
- Be based in the US, UK, or Canada.
Role Details
- We offer competitive hourly compensation, adjusted based on your professional background and geographic location. The listed compensation scale is specifically for U.S.-based applicants and will vary for candidates located elsewhere.
- This project requires a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week.
- The current estimate for this project is 6 months, with the possibility of extension. The project is ongoing as long as this listing is active.
- You must have access to a desktop or laptop computer for this project; Chromebooks are not compatible.

Contract and Payment Terms
- You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
- This is a fully remote role, offering flexible scheduling to suit your needs.
- Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded early based on project requirements and individual performance.
- Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any other employer, client, or institution.
- Payments are processed weekly via Stripe or Wise, based on services rendered.
- Please note: Mercor is currently unable to support H1-B or STEM OPT candidates for this position.
