Overview
Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) seeks a Consultant – AI-Powered Housing Systems Initiative to lead a transformative project. The role focuses on using artificial intelligence (AI) and facilitated learning to enhance housing systems assessments and program design. HFHI operates in over 70 countries, with its international headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
Scope of Work
This role encompasses project management, contextual analysis, sector deep dives, and intervention design. The consultant will:
- Lead planning, execution, and monitoring of the consultancy.
- Conduct detailed analyses of housing systems and AI applications.
- Coordinate with multiple HFHI teams including TCIS, OSR, and NO teams.
- Develop guidelines for AI-generated analyses and field deep dives.
- Facilitate capacity building and co-design workshops with stakeholders.
- Support the creation of MEAL frameworks and document process improvements.
Key Deliverables
The consultant is responsible for several deliverables over the contract period including the Inception Report, Context Analysis Guidelines, Deep Dive Guidelines, Facilitation Toolkit, Design Sprint Guidelines, Housing Finance Toolkit, and Final Report. Each deliverable has specific payment milestones from 10% to 20% of the total fee.
Safeguarding and Data Protection
The consultant must adhere to HFHI's safeguarding policies and data protection standards to protect beneficiaries and partner communities.
Period of Performance and Compensation
The contract runs from November 1, 2025, to October 15, 2026, with a maximum professional fee value of 85,000 USD. Travel and other reimbursable expenses will be based on actuals.
Qualifications
Required: Extensive project management experience in housing or housing finance, strong background in AI applications in development contexts, systems thinking, stakeholder engagement, and capacity building. A Master's degree in international development or related field and experience with international NGOs is also required.
Preferred: Familiarity with the Habitat for Humanity network and direct experience with Habitat National Offices.
