About the Role

H2M Careers is seeking a Staff Wastewater Engineer to join our Wastewater team in our Melville, NY office. In this role, you will support wastewater infrastructure projects spanning planning, feasibility studies, design, construction, and maintenance. You will work under the supervision of Senior Engineers and Project Managers, contributing to water resource recovery facilities, pump stations, force mains, gravity sewers, and low pressure sewer systems.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and design various wastewater systems and related infrastructure.
  • Write reports, analyze data, draft correspondence, and track project costs.
  • Prepare design drawings using CAD and BIM software.
  • Review contractor shop drawings and monitor construction phases.
  • Communicate with co-workers and coordinate tasks across project disciplines.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil/Environmental/Mechanical) with wastewater coursework preferred.
  • 0-4 years of design experience in the consulting field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD; Civil 3D, ReVit, BIM, and GIS skills are a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • FE/EIT Certification preferred.

Salary & Benefits

The salary range for this role is $72,500 - $85,000 annually. Additional benefits include healthcare, 401(k) matching, bonus programs, paid time off, tuition assistance, and more.
