Operations Team Manager - DFW
Job Summary: Responsible for driving business plans and strategies into day-to-day implementation, managing an optimal customer experience, and providing operational support and facility maintenance. This role provides leadership in the absence of the General Manager and Directors.
Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions
General Store Operations
- Drives day-to-day implementation of business plans and strategies developed by the General Manager.
- Manages mid-level managers, including Operations Managers and Hourly Operations Managers.
- Acts as a subject matter expert in multiple functional areas across the store, developing guidelines and procedures.
- Leads cross-functional teams and projects, ensuring general operational standards are met.
- Monitors and addresses facility maintenance issues, ensuring prompt replacement and/or repair of interior and exterior store elements.
Customer Service and Partner Interaction
- Maintains a visible presence in the store, building customer relationships and supporting positive Partner morale and retention.
- Ensures store conditions (inside and outside) create a safe, clean, and unobstructed shopping and work environment.
- Responds to and resolves customer and partner emergency issues, requests, and concerns.
Maintenance and Food Safety & Sanitation
- Supervises and manages Operations Managers and the Maintenance team, ensuring budget, schedule, and performance objectives are met.
- Monitors and tracks all store maintenance issues, facility, and equipment, acting as the first responder to equipment problems.
- Ensures cooler temperatures are maintained at appropriate levels and all equipment is in safe working condition.
- Addresses customer incidents related to product safety or quality.
Loss Prevention
- Trains Operations Managers on proper loss prevention procedures and acts as the point of contact for loss prevention and enforcement issues.
- Identifies shrink opportunities and takes immediate action or reports issues to the GM.
- Maintains store security and works with law enforcement to minimize theft.
- Ensures all tills are in bookkeeping at close of business.
Other Duties
- Prepares Capital Requests, monitors store/company licenses and registrations, covers Receiving back door security, and assists with expense management and shrink opportunities.
Qualifications & Key Requirements
- Proven management and leadership experience, preferably with a combination of education (college/technical school) and experience.
- Experience in handling sensitive people issues, emergency response, theft, and other serious scenarios.
- Ability to set objectives and lead a team to accomplish business goals.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, confined spaces, cleaning chemicals, and airborne particles.
- Moderate noise level.
- Ability to lift moderately heavy loads up to 50 lbs. individually, with potential for heavier loads when team-lifting.
- Ability to bend, reach, kneel, twist, squat, stand, and walk for long periods.
- Ability to push/pull heavy loads of 75 lbs.
