Overview
The Engineer, IT Disaster Recovery is responsible for designing, implementing, supporting, and maintaining disaster recovery and business continuity plans critical to healthcare operations at Guthrie. The role focuses on developing, testing, and updating DR-BCP plans to minimize downtime and ensure rapid recovery during disruptions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive DR and BCP plans for IT systems.
- Conduct risk assessments and business impact analyses for critical systems.
- Plan and execute regular DR-BCP tests including simulations and drills.
- Support incident response and coordinate recovery activities.
- Collaborate with IT teams, clinical staff, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation and runbooks.
- Monitor updates in DR-BCP trends and implement applicable technologies.
Experience & Qualifications
Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience in DR and BCP processes in an enterprise environment, preferably in healthcare. A strong technical background, proficiency in backup/replication technologies, high-availability architectures, and IT infrastructure components is required. Certifications such as CBCP, DRCS, or ITIL 4 Foundation are preferred.
