Summary
The Engineer, IT Automation and Monitoring is responsible for designing, implementing, supporting, and maintaining automation and monitoring solutions that are critical to healthcare operations at The Guthrie Clinic (TGC). The role focuses on automating repetitive IT tasks, optimizing system performance, and proactively monitoring infrastructure to ensure high availability in a mission-critical healthcare environment.
Experience & Qualifications
Preferably 3-5 years of experience in implementing and managing automation and monitoring solutions. Experience in a large, complex multi-level organization is ideal. Healthcare industry experience is preferred. Candidates should be proficient in automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, PowerShell, and Python, as well as monitoring platforms like SolarWinds, Prometheus, Splunk. Familiarity with cloud (Azure, AWS) and containerized systems (Docker, Kubernetes) is essential.
Essential Functions
- Design and implement automation scripts and workflows.
- Deploy, manage, and monitor enterprise IT tools.
- Analyze data to identify and resolve performance issues.
- Integrate automation with IT service management platforms.
- Create technical documentation and train IT staff.
