Summary
The Architect, Telecom - IT Infrastructure is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting advanced telecommunication and voice infrastructure including VoIP, SIP, PBX, CCaaS, UCaaS, and IVA to support critical healthcare operations at Guthrie. The role ensures high availability and performance for clinical systems, patient care services, and administrative functions in a complex hospital voice and communication network.
Experience
Candidates should have 5 to 7 years of experience in implementing and managing complex voice and telecommunications systems. Healthcare experience is preferred. You must have strong expertise in VoIP, SIP, PBX, unified communications (Cisco, Avaya, Microsoft Teams), contact center solutions, network design, firewall policies, and ITSM functionalities. A proven track record in a high availability, 24/7 environment is expected.
Essential Functions
- Design long-term strategies and tactical plans for telecom infrastructure.
- Oversee planning and deployment of telecom standards and changes.
- Document current architecture and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Mentor team members and act as a subject matter expert on voice and communication systems.
- Monitor industry trends and evaluate emerging technologies.
Education & Certifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration or related field is strongly desired. Preferred certifications include CUCM and CCIE.
