Summary
The Architect Network IT Infrastructure is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, WLAN and SDWAN to support critical healthcare operations across The Guthrie Clinic (TGC). The role ensures high availability and performance for clinical systems, patient care services, and administrative functions across the hospital network.
Responsibilities
- Provide architectural expertise for overall network infrastructure.
- Design and implement strategic network solutions.
- Oversee planning, deployment, and management of standards and policies.
- Mentor team members and document existing architectures.
- Monitor industry trends and adopt emerging technologies.
- Ensure robust IT support for clinical and administrative functions.
Experience & Qualifications
7 to 10 years of experience in complex enterprise network environments, preferably in healthcare. Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS) and technologies (Cisco, Extreme, Palo Alto) are essential. Experience with network security tools, SDN, cloud-based network solutions (AWS, Azure), and ITSM functionalities is required. Preferred certifications include CCNP, CCIE, and CISSP.
