Overview

The Architect, Cloud Sys Eng at Guthrie is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting cloud-based infrastructure including public, private, and hybrid deployments. This role supports critical healthcare operations by ensuring high availability and performance for clinical systems, patient care services, and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cloud solutions using IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models
  • Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and hospital stakeholders
  • Implement infrastructure as code with tools like Terraform and CloudFormation
  • Enforce cloud security controls and governance policies
  • Mentor team members on technical solutions and cloud best practices

Experience & Skills

7-10 years of experience in hybrid cloud solutions with a strong background in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Proficiency in containerization, scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash), and ITSM functionalities is required. Healthcare experience is preferred.

  • Provide architectural expertise for cloud infrastructure
  • Develop strategic and tactical plans for cloud management
  • Keep abreast of emerging cloud technologies and trends
  • Ensure disaster recovery and high availability of systems
  • Maintain compliance with cloud governance and regulatory requirements

Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration or related field preferred. Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert and CCSP are an asset.
