About the Opportunity

As a Staff Product Designer on Consumer Money, you will design new 0–1 financial products that help workers thrive financially. This role involves building intuitive, high-quality experiences, guiding external partner teams, and shaping product strategy and vision across cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define a long-term UX vision that aligns with Gusto’s strategy.
  • Shape product strategy, roadmap, OKRs, and project priorities.
  • Conduct research and hands-on discovery to understand customer needs.
  • Design and ship iterative experiences that deliver consistent value.
  • Foster relationships with external partners and mentor design teams.
  • Champion and evolve Gusto’s design system and standards.

What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years of Product Design experience with leadership across teams.
  • Expertise in creating intuitive solutions for complex, technical domains.
  • Experience partnering with PM and Engineering to shape roadmaps.
  • A high standard for craft, ensuring impactful customer solutions.
  • A holistic approach to designing cohesive customer journeys.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments while influencing strategy.

Compensation & Work Environment

Cash compensation ranges vary by location. Gusto expects employees in office locations (Denver, San Francisco, New York, Scottsdale) to work onsite 2-3 days per week. Secure and reliable internet is required for remote arrangements.
