Job Summary

The Deputy Chief Financial Officer supports the CFO in financial program activities and is responsible for financial accounting. This role develops, maintains, and implements department-specific accounting policies to ensure timely financial reporting, manages accounting staff, prepares general ledgers, supports year-end audits, and assists with budgeting and forecasting.

Requirements

  • Valid Colorado driver’s license
  • Completion of ICS 100 and ICS 200 within the first year

Qualifications and Education

Applicants must hold a degree in accounting, finance, public administration, or a related field, coupled with eight years of progressively responsible governmental accounting or finance experience, or an equivalent combination as determined by the County.

Compensation

The annual salary ranges from $108,859.10 to $153,981.08 plus full benefits. Payment is made monthly on the last weekday of the month.
