UX Designer at Guidewire Software

Our team tackles various domains within Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance, focusing on creating and maintaining cohesive design patterns, building reusable components, and establishing consistent visual languages across multiple digital products. We view design as a collaborative effort, working alongside colleagues to strategically address business realities and deliver innovative, scalable solutions for both enterprise and customer-facing applications.

Role Overview

We are seeking a UX Designer for our Design System team, based in Dublin or Kraków (with a hybrid work arrangement of 2 days per week in the office). In this role, you will collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to maintain and expand our design system. Your contributions will enable multiple teams to provide exceptional experiences for our industry-leading insurance software products, impacting users globally.

Your Day-to-day

  • Help maintain and update our design system components and documentation.
  • Create and modify UI components in Figma.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate implementation.
  • Assist in usability testing of design system components.
  • Support the team in creating design guidelines and best practices.

What You Need To Be Successful

  • 1-3 years of UX design experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Figma.
  • Solid understanding of design systems and component libraries.
  • Good eye for typography, spacing, and visual hierarchy.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS (nice to have).
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with others.
  • Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your current role, utilizing data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.
