Summary
Guidewire Software is seeking an Automation Engineer Intern for a 6-month summer program (June – November) to join the Business Technology team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on active DevSecOps/Infra projects within a scrum team, utilizing AWS Platform, Glean, Gemini, and other cutting-edge tools.

What You'll Be Doing as an Automation Engineer Intern
- Work on active DevSecOps/Infra projects, contributing directly to live systems rather than simulated intern tasks.
- Participate as a core member of a scrum team, operating within a 2-week sprint model.
- Collaborate closely with experienced DevSecOps/Infra engineers, gaining real-time, hands-on work experience.
- Implement automation solutions using the AWS Platform, Glean, Gemini, and other relevant technologies.
- Develop and streamline Slack integrations and Slack Apps to enhance team communication and workflows.
- Automate tools provisioning leveraging the AWS framework.
- Contribute to various ad-hoc tasks as needed by the DevSecOps/Infra team.

Intern Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a 3rd year/final year BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- Possess basic knowledge of AWS and AI (specifically basic understanding of Large Language Models - LLM) infrastructure.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Go framework.
- Demonstrated eagerness to learn and rapidly adapt to new technologies.
- Ability to quickly absorb new concepts and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of working effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive team player with a strong sense of ownership and drive.
- Proven problem-solving skills, utilizing an Agile, systematic approach.
- Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply data-driven insights to roles for innovation and continuous improvement.
