Overview
Guidepoint Engineering seeks an experienced Scrum Master as an integral member of the Toronto-based Technology Hub. The Hub will be the base for the new Data/AI team focused on building a modern data infrastructure for advanced analytics and responsible AI. This role is strategic for developing cutting-edge Generative AI and analytical capabilities that underpin Guidepoint's Next-Gen research enablement platform and data products.
What You'll Do
- Facilitate all ceremonies and planning events for multiple teams including daily stand-up, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective.
- Guide teams on feature estimation and support realistic commitments.
- Collaborate with external teams to address blocking issues and keep Scrum teams focused.
- Represent Scrum teams at various ceremonies including Scrum of Scrums.
- Work with Product Owners to set OKRs in JIRA and maintain a healthy backlog.
- Establish agile metrics across teams to improve quality, predictability, flow, and velocity.
- Mentor and motivate team members for continuous process improvement.
- Facilitate retrospectives to identify improvement areas and ensure follow-through on actions.
Required Technical Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in a Scrum Master role with strong Agile knowledge.
- Experience managing multiple globally distributed teams.
- Expertise in Jira and Confluence is required.
- Working knowledge of OKRs and their implementation in Jira.
- Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and under high-pressure deadlines.
- Experience in consensus building and negotiation skills.
