Cybersecurity Intern

As an intern at GuidePoint Security, you will work closely with industry-leading subject matter experts to provide first-class cyber security services. Interns will complete in-house training programs, while working on projects to enhance their security knowledge and skills. Interns will gain experience through:

We are looking for candidates eager to begin their journey within the security industry. Qualified candidates will:
- Be physically located within the United States during the entire duration of the internship
- Be available for full-time hire no later than 2027
- Have a basic understanding of information technology, networking, operating systems and security
- Have a genuine passion for information security
- Be motivated and eager to learn new skills
- Have demonstrated efforts toward entering cybersecurity, which may include: Obtaining certifications, Attending trainings, Pursuing a formal education, Participating in industry organizations, Contributing to personal or industry projects

Internship Details and Expectations:
This is a part-time, remote paid internship ($20hr) that is offered as part of a GPSU cohort running from August 31 - November 20, 2026. Interns are expected to:
- Work a majority of hours between 11am-4pm EST Monday through Friday, ranging from 25-29hrs/wk
- Have a personal computing device and access to high-speed internet during working hours
While the internship does allow flexible hours, interns will often be required to attend trainings and shadowing opportunities between the hours of 11am - 4pm EST, Monday - Friday. It is vital for the intern's development to attend these events, so we can only accept candidates who are largely available during these hours. Evaluation Process:
GPSU team receives and reviews applications as they are submitted. Selected candidates conduct a 30-minute screen with technical recruiter. Chosen candidates will be invited to conduct a 4-hour virtual technical assessment. Candidates who successfully complete the technical assessment will be invited to a 1-hour technical interview.
