Job Description

What You Will Do

As a SailPoint Engineer at Guidehouse, you will be instrumental in the full software development lifecycle of critical applications. This includes designing, coding, testing, debugging, maintaining, and thoroughly documenting software applications. You will be expected to:

  • Design, code, test, debug, maintain, and document software applications
  • Follow established software development standards and procedures and contribute towards their improvement
  • Develop complex application features and create technical designs
  • Participate in peer code and design reviews
  • Review and analyze complex programming specifications to resolve issues
  • Prepare technical standards, provide technical advice and guidance, and collaborate with other programmers to conceptualize and develop design
  • Conduct thorough problem analysis, document findings, and propose creative solutions
  • Coordinate end-to-end runs, provide production support, and suggest enhancements to existing business applications
  • Use technical judgment and make appropriate system decisions
  • Analyze and debug Application/Client Server connectivity problems
  • Perform SDLC process, including designing and developing applications
  • Remediation of security, Section 508, performance, and UX-related issues as they arise
  • Ability to maintain documentation for a solution, related tools, and business processes
  • Participate in the implementation of new features and integration scenarios
  • Work with technical and business users to gather and implement requirements
  • Willing to learn new technologies
  • Proactively identify future needs for IAM services

What You Will Need

To succeed as a SailPoint Engineer, you should bring a strong foundation in Identity and Access Management and software development. Key requirements include:

  • U.S. citizenship is contractually required for this role
  • A minimum of FIVE (5) years of hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise-grade IAM or cloud-based and web-based applications across diverse environments
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. NINE (9) years of relevant professional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Expertise in SailPoint IdentityIQ, strategy, design, implementation, and operations
  • Strong knowledge of SailPoint, including features, integration, and architecture
  • Ability to communicate about SailPoint and implementation at both the functional and technical level
  • Experience with other programming languages (Java)
  • Strong understanding of IAM principles and how to implement them in an enterprise solution
  • Ability to maintain documentation for an IAM solution, related tools, and business processes
  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain an an approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.

What Would Be Nice To Have

The ideal SailPoint Engineer candidate will also possess the following advantageous qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of key IAM and FICAM policies/guidance, including NIST 800-63-3, OMB M-19-17, and HSPD-12
  • Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred
  • Experience in following established software development standards and procedures, and contributing towards their improvement
  • Familiarity with the SDLC process, including designing and developing applications
  • Broad knowledge of information system technologies, with a willingness to learn new technologies
  • Experience with cloud provider services (AWS or Azure) and understanding of DevSecOps tools and processes
  • Understanding of DevSecOps tools and processes
  • Strong understanding of IAM principles and how to implement them in an enterprise solution
