About the Program Administration Specialist - Privacy Role at Guidehouse

As a Program Administration Specialist - Privacy at Guidehouse, you will play a crucial role as an Information Privacy Analyst, supporting the organization's privacy policy, compliance, and operational needs. This position involves ensuring consistent and compliant handling of personal information, particularly within regulatory, compliance, or public-sector environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide policy and compliance recommendations aligning with key privacy statutes like the Privacy Act of 1974, E‑Government Act of 2002, FISMA 2014, OMB Circular A‑130, and OMB Circular A‑108.
  • Implement privacy policies, procedures, and notices to ensure the secure and consistent handling of personal information.
  • Conduct and review various privacy risk assessments, including Privacy Threshold Analyses (PTAs) and Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) for systems and third-party applications.
  • Review procurement and contractual documents to integrate necessary privacy requirements and controls.
  • Support assessment and authorization activities for systems managing personally identifiable information (PII).
  • Assist in incident and breach-response activities, including documentation and reporting.
  • Respond to requests for access or amendment of personal records as mandated by privacy laws.
  • Contribute to the development of privacy-related training, awareness content, and program resources.
  • Support privacy program governance meetings and cross-functional working groups.
  • Produce high-quality documentation, including reports, analyses, presentations, and tracking logs.

What Guidehouse Looks For

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience, including one (1) year specifically in privacy within a regulatory, compliance, or public-sector setting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams) and SharePoint.
  • An understanding of IT systems and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management abilities.
  • The capability to proactively seek clarification on assignments and requirements.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST" clearance; active clearance is preferred.

Desirable Skills and Experience

Candidates with the following qualifications will have an advantage:

  • Experience supporting privacy programs in regulated, governmental, or highly controlled environments.
  • Hands-on experience with preparing or reviewing PTAs, PIAs, or similar privacy evaluations.
  • Familiarity with privacy frameworks, security standards, and compliance controls (e.g., NIST, FIPS, OMB-style guidance, ISO-aligned frameworks).
  • Experience supporting breach response or incident handling.
  • Background in records management, data governance, risk management, or cybersecurity.
  • Professional certifications such as CIPP/US, CIPM, CIPT, Security+, or similar privacy/security credentials.
