About Guidehouse and the Role
Guidehouse is seeking a Palantir Foundry Developer to join their Defense & Security AI & Data team. This role focuses on helping clients maximize data value and automate business processes by implementing comprehensive data analytics and data science solutions. The team covers everything from data querying and wrangling to data engineering, visualization, BI, predictive analytics, machine learning, and AI. The services provided enable clients to define information strategy, gain mission-critical insights, make data-driven decisions, reduce costs, increase trust, and improve operational effectiveness.
What You Will Do as a Palantir Foundry Developer
- Design, build, and optimize data pipelines and Palantir Foundry workflows for automated data ingestion, transformation, and integration of large, complex datasets, supporting advanced analytics and decision-making.
- Develop scalable data models and ontology structures within Palantir Foundry, ensuring data quality, lineage, security, and interoperability across enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including analysts, product owners, and mission stakeholders, to translate operational requirements into robust Foundry solutions. This includes custom code workflows using Python, Spark, and SQL, as well as operational dashboards.
- Manage ETL functions and develop, build, test, and maintain scalable data pipeline architectures and tools.
- Work with various data integration and management tools and databases.
- Gather requirements, design, implement, and test database systems.
- Prepare data to enable data science and machine learning initiatives.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of relational databases, columnar data warehouses, data lakes, NoSQL, and other storage types.
- Work extensively with cloud-based databases and ETL architectures.
- Design and build distributed systems with a focus on scalability and security.
- Write comprehensive technical process documentation.
- Maintain positive client relationships to enhance satisfaction and work collaboratively with client management and staff to deliver engagement services.
- Ensure strict adherence to data governance and quality assurance standards.
- Organize and lead client meetings, including scheduling, drafting agendas and minutes, providing documentation, and tracking action items.
- Summarize and present information and reports to the team, providing both oral and written recommendations.
What You Will Need
- An ACTIVE and CURRENT SECRET federal security clearance.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- THREE (3) years of experience in data engineering.
- Proficiency in designing and developing databases with Structured Query Language (SQL) and performing complex queries.
- Familiarity with Palantir Foundry.
What Would Be Nice To Have
- Master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Proficiency in moving and manipulating different types of data and file types using Python.
- Strong understanding of various data storage types.
- Experience working in cloud-based data platforms and architecture.
- Experience working with system and application logs.
- Proficiency in modern SDLC processes.
- Experience with the design and build of ETL programs, interfaces, and data reconciliation processes, preferably in Databricks.
- Familiarity with DevOps and container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Ability to implement basic automation and CI/CD.
- Experience with microservices architecture and API gateways.
- Technical expertise with data models, data mining, data cleansing, and segmentation techniques.
- Experience with source code version control technologies such as Git.
- Ability to code and debug stored procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
