Job Overview
The Director of Health Informatics role at GSK drives strategic initiatives by leveraging health information technology to optimize patient care delivery across key therapeutic areas. In this position, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align HIT capabilities with customer needs and healthcare workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Align GSK’s HIT capabilities with health system infrastructures.
- Identify market opportunities and develop new HIT tools and solutions.
- Build and maintain relationships with HIT decision-makers.
- Conduct workflow assessments to improve care delivery.
- Integrate digital tools into Electronic Health Records systems.
- Provide actionable insights from healthcare data.
- Educate and train internal stakeholders on emerging HIT trends.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree; 3+ years in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry; extensive experience in Health Informatics with clinical workflows; hands-on experience with EHR systems such as Athena, Epic, or Oracle; proven ability presenting to executive leadership; willingness to travel up to 25%.
Preferred Qualifications: Strategic thinking, accountability, project management experience, technical certifications (EHR, RHIA/RHIT, HIMSS), and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
