Job Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer - 1st Shift is responsible for developing and improving manufacturing processes while providing technical support to achieve business goals.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes using CNC programs.
- Collaborate with toolmakers and process engineers for custom solutions.
- Maintain process documentation to standards and assist with troubleshooting.
- Perform machine setups for complex or unproven processes.
- Provide training and mentorship to CNC operators.
- Occasionally lead special projects and initiatives.
- Adhere to all company policies, including safety and housekeeping.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in GD&T, Cad/Cam, G-Code, and CNC machine controls.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and at least three years of manufacturing experience are required. Experience with Mastercam and Solidworks is preferred.
