What is the job about?
The purpose of this position is to strengthen our technology capabilities in technology maturity, technology implementation, and validation area primarily in Cooling and HVAC. The candidate would be responsible for technology maturity of control algorithms utilizing Simulation in the Loop (SIL), Hardware in Loop simulation (HIL), Lab Testing, Proof of Concepts, and Field test deployments. The purpose of this position is to explore and mature new innovations, strengthening both technology and commercial capabilities.
Your main responsibilities:
- Support the maturing of Control Algorithms in close collaboration with the Technology Development and Digital Development teams.
- Lead the Frontend Validation for new control solutions together with relevant stakeholders from the Commercial Building Services (CBS) Division and relevant Group Technology & Innovation (GT&I) Departments.
- Involve the relevant teams to ensure a smooth transition of new control technologies from Technology Development and GT&I to the CBS Division, including close coordination with the CBS Solutions & Marketing and CBS Product Development (PD) teams.
- Ensure solutions are robust and follow development workflow and guidelines, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders and team members.
- Document and share best practices, including process documentation, training materials, workflows, instructions, and case studies.
- Support other related tasks and initiatives within the Technology Innovation department.
Your Background
- Master Engineer level within Control or Embedded Software Engineering, with exposure to AI/Machine Learning/Data Science.
- Technical background/knowledge within SIL and HIL based validation techniques.
- Knowledgeable within technology validation, reducing uncertainty, and fault scenario testing.
- Experience with laboratory testing and verification.
- Experience with Matlab, Simulink, and compiler technologies.
- Programming and tools: C/C++ high-level languages, Embedded C, and Python.
- Experience with Technology validation via Lab Testing and Technology demonstration in relevant customer environments.
- Understanding of HVAC application, Applied Controls, AI/Machine Learning, and Building Management Systems (BMS).
- 6 – 10 years of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of industry-standard modeling tools and technology validation methods.
- English – verbal and written proficiency.
