About the role
Sales Engineer - Trichy
This role is responsible for Trichy Industry Sales, dealer management, and achieving monthly and yearly sales targets. You will conduct various marketing activities, provide necessary technical support to the Dealer Sales team, and handle sales within the assigned business scope, adhering to company strategies and policies.
Your Main Responsibilities:
- Achieve individual sales targets.
- Implement sales policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance with corporate policies and provide working guidelines for the sales team.
- This position is part of the Grundfos India – South Sales team and will be responsible for Industry Sales in Trichy.
- Develop and maintain the dealer network, enhancing dealer competency in collaboration with Channel Management.
- Develop a designated customer base, including preparation plans, budgets, and promotional activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with all external stakeholders, including end-users, design institutes, consulting firms, and authorities.
- Develop sales strategies and action plans for the specific business area and region according to sales targets.
- Monitor account receivable balances monthly, follow up with customers on outstanding balances, and ensure timely payments to manage cash flow and reduce potential bad debts.
- Develop existing customers through quotations, submissions, and marketing activities.
- Identify and develop new industrial application areas, business areas, and new customers.
- Follow up on the project pipeline.
- Stay updated on marketing status and report to direct management.
- Update the CRM tool with sales orders, opportunities, quotations, and activities.
- Update customer master data.

- Graduate Engineer with approximately 5-10 years of professional experience.
- Experience driving developed processes within the Indian (IND) segment.
- Ability to lead processes in project progress and business processes.
- Strong ability to influence others.
