We are looking for an YouTube Thumbnail Designer & Video Editor to serve as the visual architect of our YouTube content engine. This is a high-level role for a seasoned creative who understands the science of the click and the art of the edit. You will be responsible for designing high-converting thumbnails that maximize CTR while independently crafting engaging narratives from raw interview footage. We aren't looking for a junior designer to train; we need a proactive, professional storyteller with exceptional visual instincts who can take ownership of our content's first impression and long-term retention.What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like
- Thumbnail Mastery: Conceptualize and design high-performing YouTube thumbnails using expert-level layout, lighting, color theory, and composition.
- Advanced Design: Execute high-end image manipulation, including precise cutouts, complex compositing, and background cleanup.
- Story-Driven Editing: Review raw footage independently to identify core messages and edit them into compelling "hook → value → payoff" narratives.
- Technical Editing: Execute seamless jump cuts, strategic zooms, and visual aids to maintain viewer attention and remove dead space.
- Short-Form Content: Transform long-form interviews into high-retention vertical clips (Shorts, Reels) with optimized pacing and platform-specific formatting.
- Motion Enhancements: Add professional lower-thirds, text overlays, and basic motion graphics to improve the viewer experience.
- Audio & Captions: Ensure flawless technical execution of audio balancing and accurate captioning for maximum accessibility.
- Asset Management: Maintain clean, well-organized project files and media libraries for seamless team collaboration.
What You Bring
- YouTube Strategy: A deep understanding of visual psychology and current YouTube packaging trends to maximize CTR.
- Design Expertise: Expert proficiency in Adobe Photoshop (preferred) or Canva, with a portfolio showcasing advanced compositing and color correction.
