Responsibilities

The Senior IT Support Specialist delivers advanced technical support throughout the credit union. Responsibilities include troubleshooting desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals and related systems with a focus on security, compliance, and member service excellence. This role acts as a key escalation point for complex technical issues, collaborates with IT teams to resolve problems, implements solutions, and drives continuous improvement. Mentoring staff, maintaining knowledge documentation, and managing IT projects such as hardware refreshes, software rollouts, system patches, and upgrades are also key functions.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or 2 additional years work experience
  • Three years’ experience with PC operations, two in a Help Desk environment
  • Working towards or able to obtain advanced Microsoft or Cisco certification
  • A+ certification required
  • Ability to utilize scripting for device imaging, patches, and software deployment
  • Preferred experience with PowerShell scripting
  • Strong analytical skills with a team-oriented, professional attitude

Physical Demands & Work Environment

This role requires physical activity (standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds). It involves extended periods at a computer, and must be performed in a traditional office setting with the option for work from home. Occasional travel to stores is required, and candidates must reside in the Tampa Bay area.
