Overview
The Staff Datacenter Network Engineer at Groq will design, deploy, and optimize network fabric architectures for new and existing data centers.
Responsibilities & Opportunities
- Design end‑to‑end network topologies covering IPv4/IPv6, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and high‑availability fabric.
- Deploy, configure, and tune Cisco, Juniper, and Arista switches, routers, and firewalls at massive scale.
- Create and maintain accurate Bill‑of‑Materials (BOMs) for all fabric components.
- Collaborate with Data Center Engineering teams to understand traffic profiles and scaling needs.
Ideal Candidates Have/Are
- Hands‑on experience with Cisco Nexus, Juniper QFX, and Arista 7500/7800 series.
- Experience managing GPU clusters and BOM & procurement processes.
- Proficiency in Ansible, Terraform, Python, and vendor APIs for configuration management.
- Familiarity with Prometheus and OpenTelemetry for network monitoring.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills with mentoring capabilities.
- Bonus: Experience with ML traffic patterns, SD‑WAN, or open‑source fabric projects.
