Job Description
IT & OT Manager - Energy Management
Grenergy is seeking an IT & OT Manager for its Energy Management team. This role is crucial for the 24x7 operation of our energy assets, acting as the bridge between technological infrastructure and real-time plant operations (PV, BESS, etc.). You will ensure that systems supporting electricity markets and adjustment services operate continuously, securely, and efficiently.
What will be your impact?
- Lead the IT/OT team within the Energy Management area.
- Ensure 24x7 availability, resilience, and performance of the technological platform.
- Design, deploy, and operate critical infrastructure (on-premise and cloud).
- Manage critical incidents and coordinate their resolution, including post-mortems.
- Define and monitor IT/OT platform KPIs.
- Translate operational and market needs into technical solutions.
- Develop Python tools for automation and data integration (OMIE, REE, external APIs).
- Manage containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker) and CI/CD processes.
- Administer Linux systems, networks, and security (firewalls, VPNs, segmentation).
- Integrate and support IT/OT systems (SCADA, telemetry, BESS, plants).
- Collaborate with business teams to optimize operations in markets and adjustment services.
What do we expect from you?
- Over 10 years of experience in IT roles (DevOps, SysAdmin, Platform Engineer, or similar).
- Proficiency in Python.
- Solid experience in Kubernetes (K8s), Docker, and infrastructure (virtualization, servers, storage).
- Knowledge of networks and security (firewalls, routing, VPN).
- Experience working with Linux systems.
- Experience in automation (CI/CD, scripting, IaC) and using Git.
Valuable Assets:
- Knowledge of the energy sector (OMIE, REE, adjustment services).
- Experience in OT environments and IT/OT integration.
- Experience with SCADA systems (Wonderware / AVEVA).
- Knowledge of SQL Server, OpenNebula, or Ceph.
