The Role in a Nutshell
Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Operations Business Partner, the Business Intelligence Analyst plays a crucial role in enabling data-driven decision-making. This position focuses on BI delivery, performance monitoring, and analysis to support strategic and operational goals.
Business Intelligence Delivery and Enablement
- Lead development and execution of BI products.
- Collaborate with teams to build and maintain dashboards.
- Bridge business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Ensure adherence to data governance standards.
- Maintain documentation for transparency and reuse.
- Adopt and evolve report automation and visualization standards.
Performance Monitoring
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Proactively identify trends and anomalies.
- Refine reporting processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Partner with teams for continuous improvement.
- Support business users with BI tools and data interpretation.
Analysis and Decision Support
- Conduct deep-dive and ad-hoc analyses.
- Interpret informational requests and present clear findings.
- Maintain high standards of data integrity.
- Ensure outputs are actionable and support decision-making.
Who We're Looking For
Applicants should possess a post-secondary degree in computer science, data science, mathematics, statistics or a related field, with 3+ years hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying BI products using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker. Proficiency in SQL, DAX, and related languages is essential, along with strong communication skills for presenting insights to diverse audiences. Experience with data modeling, data governance, and automated BI solutions is required. Familiarity with cloud-based platforms like BigQuery, Azure Synapse, or Snowflake is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Scripting skills in Python or R.
- Exposure to machine learning or predictive analytics.
- Experience in training or mentoring on BI tools.
- Bilingual in French and English.
