About the role
Marketing and Technical Manager
Graymont is seeking a remote Marketing & Technical Manager to drive business growth and develop new opportunities. This full-time, permanent role is open to candidates in any state or province where Graymont operates.
Responsibilities
- Grow and develop Graymont’s business portfolio by uncovering, developing, leading, managing, and commercializing new business opportunities.
- Lead strategic new business development projects aligned with Graymont’s objectives.
- Act as an industry expert in assigned new business development and applications markets.
- Convert Graymont’s strategic plan into measurable new business development and applications objectives and goals.
- Establish key industry contacts and build relationships to increase business opportunities.
- Review new business opportunities for strategic fit and collaborate across business teams to leverage synergies.
- Identify growth opportunities through existing/new product applications or adjacent synergies.
- Direct R&D efforts to meet Graymont and customer needs, using stage-gate project management.
- Assist in developing and implementing testing protocols to validate Graymont products for customer applications.
- Extend Graymont’s marketplace influence by attending trade shows and conferences.
- Create and manage brand management and marketing tools for assigned market areas.
- Lead training and development for marketing and other Graymont business teams as a subject matter expert.
- Identify potential collaborations, partnerships, and acquisitions.
- Act as a participative and collaborative team member of Graymont’s marketing, new business development, and commercial team.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of industry experience in operations, process, sales & marketing, technical, or related roles, preferably in lime & limestone industrial applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in materials science, mining/chemical engineering, chemistry, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Sound finance, business, and commercial acumen.
- Demonstrated ability to develop business relationships and convert them into opportunities.
- Excellent numerical and verbal reasoning skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required, domestically and internationally.
- Bilingual English/French is an asset.
