The Role: HR Data & Analytics Expert
The HR Data & Analytics Expert will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making within the Human Resources department & in leveraging the use of AI. This position involves collecting, analyzing, and interpreting HR data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform workforce planning, talent management, and overall HR strategy. The job holder has a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in data analysis tools, and the ability to translate complex HR data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze HR data from various sources, including HRIS systems, employee surveys, performance evaluations, and other relevant systems. Use statistical tools to identify trends, patterns, correlations, and insights related to HR metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Data Steward: Designs and maintains the HR Data Model. Governs HR data through structured practices, policies, and processes to ensure proper collection, storage, security, and use of HR data.
- Metrics & KPIs: Defines HR metrics and KPIs to outline tangible linkage to business & HR strategy.
- Reporting and Visualization: Develop and maintain HR dashboards, reports (regular such CSR, ad-hoc), and visualizations to effectively communicate HR data and insights to stakeholders. Utilize tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar software for data visualization. Automate reporting processes and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- AI: Utilize AI features to support HR reporting and analytics, Experiments with usage of AI in reporting and analytics.
- Predictive Analytics: Conduct predictive modeling to forecast future HR needs and trends, such as employee turnover, performance, and recruitment success.
- Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with HR stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop customized reports and analytics. Provide training and support on data interpretation and usage to HR team members.
- Data Governance and Compliance: Assist in the design and implementation of HR data governance policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and secure handling of employee data.
- Technology Integration: Work closely with IT and other departments to ensure seamless integration and quality of HR data systems. Support HR technology projects by providing data requirements and performing data validation.
- Strategic Decision-Making: Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve HR policies and practices. Facilitate strategic decision-making by presenting data-driven insights to HR and business leaders.
Skills and Qualifications
- Data Analysis and Statistical Knowledge: Proficient in data collection, processing, and interpretation. Understanding of statistical methods and predictive analytics.
- HR Metrics and Reporting: Familiarity with HR metrics such as turnover rates, employee satisfaction, and cost-per-hire. Ability to design and develop reports that are coherent and easy to understand.
- Technology Proficiency: Experience with HRIS systems, data visualization tools and BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau), and statistical software.
- Problem Solving and Communication: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex data insights effectively to various stakeholders.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Human Resources, Business Administration, Statistics) and at least three years of experience in HR analytics or a related field.
- AI: Ability to leverage generative AI for data analysis, insight generation, and report creation.
