Business Development Assistant at Grant Thornton Netherlands
As a Business Development Assistant, you are the beating heart of the team. You ensure everything runs smoothly, from appointments and international visits to supporting quotation processes and presentations. What will you do?
As a Business Development Assistant, you will work closely with our core Financial Services (FS) team, which focuses on large (international) clients in the financial and banking sector. You will support daily organization, ensure information and actions are properly followed up, and keep internal communication tightly managed.
Your Key Activities
- Coordinating and optimizing agendas and planning, anticipating needs, setting priorities, and actively resolving bottlenecks.
- Providing broad support for projects and sales activities, including preparing and following up on actions.
- Preparing, elaborating, and taking minutes for meetings, as well as providing clear summaries and action overviews.
- Organizing internal events and gatherings from A to Z.
- Setting up and maintaining overviews and reports in Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM/sales funnel systems.
What do you bring?
- Preferably a minimum of HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level combined with at least 3 years of work experience in a similar role (experience within the FS sector is a plus).
- Strong organizational and coordinating skills, maintaining an overview, setting priorities, and ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- A proactive and independent work attitude, allowing you to easily switch between ad-hoc tasks.
- Good communication skills to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with AFAS is a plus.

You will be part of Grant Thornton's Legal team, where expertise, collaboration, and growth go hand in hand. You will primarily be located at our office in Amsterdam. This office is spread over two open floors with views of the Johan Cruijff ArenA and the Ziggo Dome. An inspiring place where you collaborate with colleagues on smart solutions for our clients.
