Job Description

Junior Manager Audit in Amsterdam

As a Junior Manager Audit at Grant Thornton, you will lead challenging audit assignments for national and international clients. You will use your in-depth technical knowledge, continuously develop yourself, and create real added value within various industries. Within your team, you will deliver high-quality service, guide assistants, and have ample opportunity to grow, both as a professional and a leader. As you grow, you will take on more responsibility and senior tasks, making an increasing impact on clients and the team. Your career. Your choice.

What will you do?

As a Junior Manager, you will be the first point of contact for your clients and guide (Senior) Assistants. You will seamlessly switch between client meetings, technical consultations, and guiding colleagues. Together with Accountants, Lawyers, and other specialists, you will offer integrated solutions that make an impact for the client.

Your tasks will include:

  • Monitoring the progress of audit activities for national and international clients;
  • Coaching and guiding assistants within various teams;
  • Identifying risks and advising on process improvements;
  • Actively contributing to technical and personal development within the team;
  • Contributing to commercial opportunities and strengthening client relationships.

What do you bring?

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in the audit practice;
  • RA title obtained or in the final phase;
  • Experience in managing colleagues;
  • Ambition to build a relevant network;
  • An entrepreneurial and people-oriented attitude and coaching skills.

About the team

In Amsterdam, you will work in an open and accessible team where positivity and connection are central. In this team, you can truly be yourself and make genuine connections with colleagues. We celebrate successes together, for example, with a dinner after a completed assignment or a pub quiz with snacks from different cuisines. We start the day with a stand-up and share knowledge during informal sessions. Our office in Amsterdam is spread over two open floors with a view of the Johan Cruijff ArenA and the Ziggo Dome. An inspiring place where you collaborate with colleagues from all disciplines on smart solutions for our clients.

What do we offer you?

Your career. Your choice. At Grant Thornton, you get the space to be yourself, grow, and choose your own path. You will be supported by a Development Manager, can use our study facilities, and have access to our Academy for technical and personal training. This way, you will develop into, for example, a (Senior) Assistant in no time.

We also offer you:

  • Salary based on your experience;
  • 29 vacation days, with the option to buy more;
  • Choice of a lease car, flexible mobility budget, or public transport;
  • Excellent secondary employment conditions such as an end-of-year bonus and contribution-free pension;
  • Flexible working hours and work-from-home options for a healthy work-life balance;
  • The freedom to exchange standard holidays for holidays from your own culture.
