Job Summary: Value Engineer - Agentic AI
As a Value Engineer for Agentic AI at Granicus, you will serve as the crucial strategic translator between our advanced AI capabilities and the complex challenges faced by government agencies. This role involves close collaboration with sales, product, and customer experience teams to identify opportunities, design innovative solutions, and quantify their impact. You will be instrumental in ensuring that every AI deployment delivers measurable value for customers, contributing to increased total contract value and improved win rates for the enterprise.
Candidates should bring deep subject matter expertise in one or more of the following key verticals:
- Permitting and Licensing
- Social/Public Benefit Programs
- Public Engagement and Meetings Management
- Digital Services and Citizen Experience
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities
Value Engineering & Solution Strategy
- Lead comprehensive discovery sessions to map current service delivery models, identify agency pain points, understand legal requirements, and define service delivery goals.
- Design cutting-edge agentic AI solutions that align with strategic priorities and clearly demonstrate a quantifiable return on investment (ROI).
- Quantify the impact of solutions through key metrics such as cost savings, call deflection rates, staff efficiency improvements, specific programmatic outcomes, and enhanced resident satisfaction.
Technical Expertise & Enablement
- Translate complex AI capabilities into clear, actionable business value for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate effectively with AI Solution Consultants to support product demonstrations, architectural planning, and integration strategies.
- Act as a subject matter expert in agentic AI, workflow automation, and digital transformation initiatives within the public sector.
Government Process Optimization
- Apply specialized domain expertise to reimagine and automate critical government services, including permitting, licensing, benefits enrollment, and public engagement.
- Partner with agencies to align stakeholders, build consensus, and drive successful change management to ensure robust solution adoption.
Data-Driven Impact
- Analyze customer data to identify emerging trends, validate realized outcomes, and continuously refine solution strategies.
- Support post-sale expansion efforts by identifying new use cases and optimization opportunities for existing deployments.
Product Development Feedback
- Serve as a vital conduit between field teams and product development, sharing valuable market insights, customer feedback, and evolving needs.
- Contribute to shortening development cycles by identifying high-impact features and priority use cases.
- Influence the product roadmap with real-world context and vertical-specific requirements to ensure market relevance.
Customer Value Realization
- Collaborate with Granicus Experience Partners and delivery teams to ensure that the value promised during pre-sales is fully realized post-implementation.
- Participate actively in onboarding and optimization efforts to align solution outcomes with overarching customer goals.
Experience & Credentials
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience in public sector technology, consulting, or solution engineering.
- Proven track record in value selling, business process automation, and successful stakeholder alignment.
- Deep understanding of agentic AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and intelligent automation principles.
- Subject matter expertise in one or more of the following areas: permitting/licensing, social programs, public engagement, or digital services.
- Exceptional communication skills, demonstrating the ability to effectively influence executive and operational stakeholders.
- Demonstrated expertise with presentation and workflow tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, or Mural.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise SaaS platforms like Granicus, Accela, Infor, Tyler Technologies, Salesforce, or similar solutions.
- Familiarity with government procurement processes, RFPs, and implementation cycles.
- Background in change management, performance measurement, or civic innovation.
Additional Information
This role is focused on revenue growth and includes variable compensation tied to achieving NNARR targets. You will collaborate closely with Granicus Account Executives, playing a key role in closing sales opportunities for Granicus agentic AI solutions.

- Experience in addressing formal customer technical needs, such as Security Questionnaires.
- A desire to assist with sales and team learning paths through content creation, coaching, and training.
- A commitment to continuous learning of the full Granicus platform through training, product releases, and internal discussions.
- Interest in supporting lead generation and marketing efforts through webinars and conferences.
