About the Job
The Hotel Manager is responsible for coordinating, supporting, and delivering exceptional guest service for travelers in accordance with Grand Circle Cruise Line (GCCL) standards, while fostering a positive work environment on European river ships. This role is crucial for ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience for all guests.
Responsibilities
- Practicing GCCL values and embodying the company's commitment to excellence.
- Overseeing the entire front desk area and gift shop operations.
- Co-responsible for the efficient management of the housekeeping department.
- Organizing and conducting smooth check-in and check-out procedures for guests.
- Coordinating and supervising general administrative tasks across all departments.
- Managing cost, revenue, and inventory administration to optimize ship operations.
- Handling and effectively resolving travelers’ concerns to ensure satisfaction.
Skills/Qualifications
- Hotel school diploma or basic education equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum two years of experience in a desired position, preferably on a cruise ship or in a 4* or 5* hotel environment.
- Previous Food & Beverage (F&B) experience is essential.
- Prior administration experience or Front of the House background.
- Cruise ship experience is considered a significant advantage.
- Must be a European passport holder.
- Proven leadership abilities and excellent communication skills are required.
- Strong organizational and computer skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Demonstrated 'Hands On' mentality and proactive approach.
- A keen eye for quality and excellence in all aspects of service.
