The Opportunity: Senior Product Marketing Manager
Grafana Labs is seeking an experienced product marketer to join their Product Marketing team. In this pivotal role, the Senior Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing Go-To-Market programs that effectively communicate the value of Grafana Labs and its products to target customers. You will demonstrate how their products, solutions, and open-source strategy help prospects and customers achieve their objectives.
This role involves owning messaging and positioning across key personas and product areas, working closely with product management and enablement to facilitate both buying and selling of Grafana's value.
At Grafana Labs, Product Marketing resides within the Product organization, fostering a unique approach. Instead of solely focusing on launches or campaigns, PMMs are tasked with teaching Product Managers and Engineers about growth and demand, and codifying product marketing knowledge into usable tools and processes for the entire organization.
As Grafana Labs is a fast-paced and growing organization, this role requires a blend of strategic planning skills and hands-on tactical execution, including creating blogs, webinar outlines, and video scripts.
What You'll Be Doing
- Actively partner with and educate Product Managers on defining product value, messaging, and go-to-market strategy, covering competitive positioning and sales enablement collateral.
- Collaborate with product management, engineering, and various go-to-market functions to develop materials that support customer evaluation and adoption, such as reference architectures, implementation guides, and detailed product information.
- Own and manage the launch of new products and features relevant to target buyers.
- Conduct internal and customer research to identify pain points, analyze competition, and uncover opportunities.
- Train go-to-market and sales teams on leveraging product value, clearly defining capabilities, delivering training and enablement, and ensuring effective engagement with customers, partners, and prospects.
- Manage customer lifecycle campaigns (competitive positioning, retention, upsell/cross-sell) to strategically influence marketing programs and drive growth throughout the customer journey.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- 5+ years of relevant experience in product marketing, solutions marketing, or product management.
- Experience marketing and selling to a technical audience.
- A strong passion for open source, cloud native, and infrastructure technologies.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects from start to finish efficiently.
- Capability to clearly articulate the value of technical products to various audiences.
- Experience leading product or feature launches independently and collaboratively.
- Comfortable working with diverse internal and external stakeholders in intricate processes.
- Strong product and technical curiosity leading to clear packaging, positioning, and messaging.
- Demonstrated quantitative analytical skills for performance analysis and data-driven recommendations.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills.
- A high "say-do" ratio, reflecting strong execution and impactful delivery.
Compensation & Rewards
For this remote role in Germany, the base compensation ranges from 109,709 EUR to 131,651 EUR. Actual compensation is determined by factors like level, experience, and skillset during the interview process. All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), providing team members with ownership in Grafana Labs' success and aligning interests for global scaling.
