Overview
The Government of Alberta is seeking a Business Analyst Business Operations & Modernization to improve service delivery in the Transportation and Economic Corridors sector. Role Responsibilities
In this role, you will support and lead divisional projects from planning through implementation. You will translate complex requirements into actionable solutions while ensuring alignment with legislative standards and user needs.
- Lead projects from inception to completion with measurable improvements.
- Develop detailed documentation including business cases, work plans, and risk assessments.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement and produce clear process maps and user guides.
- Redesign workflows using Lean Six Sigma principles to eliminate inefficiencies.
- Coordinate change management and training activities for new processes.
- Support business applications through UAT, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate across teams and external partners for consensus and progress.
Qualifications
Applicants must have a related university degree with a minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience, proven project leadership, and strong documentation skills. Training in Lean Six Sigma, PMP certification, and business application support are preferred.
Additional Information
