Overview
GovCIO is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Portfolio Intake DevOps Tool SME to support the Department of Veterans Affairs. This role is responsible for overseeing the intake process for project requests, gathering portfolio level responses, managing project portfolios, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Act as the main contact for incoming service management project requests.
- Review project requests for feasibility, strategic alignment, and resource availability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and clarify project requirements.
- Prioritize requests based on organizational priorities and resources.
- Maintain a comprehensive portfolio of active and pending projects.
- Monitor project statuses, timelines, and resource allocations.
- Identify dependencies, overlaps, and conflicts in the project portfolio.
- Implement best practices to optimize resource utilization.
- Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and leadership.
- Manage ITSM tool configuration and maintain DevOps dashboards, boards, and metrics.
- Maintain workflow documentation, update SOPs, and manage SharePoint and Confluence sites.
- Mentor team members in process flow design.
- Coordinate portfolio-level action item responses for executive leadership reporting.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (or commensurate experience) with 8+ years of relevant experience. Must be capable of working independently with strong analytical and communication skills. Experience with Jira and/or ServiceNow ITSM is essential. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks is required. Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.

Compensation
Posted Salary Range: USD 130,000 - 150,000 per year. Salary offered may vary based on experience, education, and internal equity.
