About Gotfriends
Gotfriends is an established Israeli Fintech startup that develops an AI and Big Data-driven platform designed to map the 'financial internet' to combat money laundering, tax evasion, and crypto-related fraud. Following a successful Series B funding round from top-tier VCs, the company is entering a significant growth phase.
The organization is located in Central Tel Aviv, offering prime access to the train station, and operates a hybrid work model (one day per week from home).
Role Overview: Data Analyst
Joining a newly established team within the R&D Department, the Data Analyst will report directly to the Data Team Lead. This role involves taking end-to-end responsibility for data within the R&D environment, including defining Data Models and Data Flows. You will be crucial in ensuring the reliability and utility of data that drives the company’s core products.
Collaboration is key in this position, working closely with Engineering, Data Science, and Product teams to develop methodologies for Data Validation and Anomaly Detection. A significant part of the role will be performing complex data analysis to identify irregularities and insights that influence product strategy and client decisions. The team utilizes a modern tech stack including Python, SQL, Airflow, and Spark.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Analyst – Mandatory. (Exceptional candidates directly from elite military intelligence units will also be considered).
- Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL – Mandatory.
- Proven experience with Spark, Airflow, or equivalent data orchestration and processing technologies – Mandatory.
- Strong understanding of Business Flows and the ability to translate them into technical data requirements.
- Experience in high-scale data environments involving complex R&D challenges.
- High analytical capabilities with a focus on product impact.
